Greenway Transit, LLC, is a full-service transportation company located in Durham, North Carolina. We are committed to providing clean and efficient transportation for hire to our Triangle community.

We are the first and onlygreen transport company in the Southeast whose vehicles run exclusively on human energy or biofuels(biodiesel, veggie oil and ethanol-E85), reducing air pollution and environmental impact and increasing mileage and efficiency. Bike rickshaws, diesel cars and vans, hybrid and dual-fuel vehicles are used in our fleet.

We house pedicabs (rickshaws) in both Chapel Hill and Durham, and accept reservations and offer regular business hours for our pedicabs when we have advertisers.

We believe in doing as little harm to the environment, people, and the planet we share as possible. Ethical living and sustainability are the basis for our beliefs and the only we will do business. The idea behind our services is conserving, preserving, and renourishing our natural world for ourselves and for future generations. Our mission is to be the most sustainable, highest quality and competitive transportation company in the Carolinas.

In 2009, we received a Department of Energy grant to purchase a hybrid electric shuttle bus and hope to have this in service by the end of 2010.
